Giving Back
February 2015 – growth[period] is pleased to support the Stimson Center, a non-profit and nonpartisan think tank dedicated to finding practical solutions to global security challenges. The Stimson Center was founded over 25 years ago, and since then has worked to reduce transnational threats to global, regional, and national security; enhance policymakers’ and the public’s understanding of the global security agenda; and engage both civil society and industry in problem-solving to strengthen existing governance structures.
January 2015 – growth[period] is proud to support the 2015 Leukemia Ball by participating in the annual Leukemia Ball Mercedes-Benz raffle. Each ticket purchase goes towards helping the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The LLS is the largest voluntary health organization in the world dedicated solely to funding blood cancer, research, education, and patient services, and has awarded almost $1 billion in research grants since it was established in 1954.
December 9, 2014 – growth[period] is proud to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF), the oldest, largest charity in the US funding ovarian cancer research. The OCRF works to fund scientific research that leads to more effective identification and treatment of ovarian cancer, and which ultimately produces a cure for this devastating cancer. The Fund has invested over $65 million in ovarian cancer research through 237 scientific research grants, and has received a four-star ranking from the independent charity evaluation organization Charity Navigator for spending 87% of every dollar raised on research programs.
