PHILLIPS Programs serves the needs of individuals with behavioral health needs and developmental disabilities and their families through education, family support services, community education and advocacy. PHILLIPS offers specialized day schools, consultations and career readiness skills that can be transformative to children in the Washington, DC Metro Area. growth[period] was thrilled to visit one of the PHILLIPS Programs schools in Annandale to help organize their newly renovated library. All the staff at growth[period] extends our best wishes and thanks to the children of PHILLIPS Programs for the opportunity to assist in school acti.

The Make-A-Wish vision is to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a critical illness. In the U.S. and its territories, a wish is granted every 34 minutes. A wish can be that spark that helps these children believe that anything is possible and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illnesses.

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides complete post-secondary educational support and additional educational opportunities for eligible surviving children of fallen Special Operations Personnel and children of all Medal of Honor Recipients; and provides immediate financial assistance to severely wounded, ill, and injured Special Operations Personnel.

October 2022: growth[period] is proud to support 2Gether-International. 2GI seeks to challenge the entrepreneurial ecosystem by supporting founders with disabilities, and flipping the narrative to see disability as a competitive advantage for businesses. 2GI supports high-growth, high-impact startups led by people with disabilities by offering a robust curriculum of community meet ups, one-on-one coaching, mentorship from industry leaders, and curated business development education, with the singular goal of setting Disabled Founders up for success.

Junior Achievement of Greater Washington teaches young people in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia innovative financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship skills that are proven to help them be 100% ready for real life in the real world. Junior Achievement provides over 40,000 students in the Greater Washington region access to relevant and experiential education, community mentors and global business leaders so that they can confidently pursue the real-world opportunities that matter most to them.

April 2022: growth[period] is proud to support Women Giving Back. Women Giving Back is a non-profit organization that supports women and children in crisis on a first step to stability by providing quality clothing at no cost, assisted by a caring and committed community. WGB is recognized as a valuable resource partner to over two hundred referral agency partners which include shelters, transitional and permanent supportive housing programs, medical facilities, group homes, schools, government agencies, and faith based organizations. Once any referral is received and approved by WGB, the shopper attends one of the month’s store day shifts that are most convenient for them. WGB offers multiple Store Day options each month to allow women to conveniently shop for clothing for themselves and their children, free of charge.
