Gen. Monahan brings 31 years of U.S. Marine Corps leadership and a distinguished post-military career advising defense and commercial clients on business development, force readiness, and international program development to her new role within growth[period]. During her Marine Corps career, she held senior command and staff positions spanning capability development, personnel management, engineering, and joint operations.

Among her leadership roles, Gen. Monahan served as Assistant Chief of Staff, G-7 Engineers for Multi-National Force-West in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, and as Director of the Joint Capabilities Assessment & Integration Division, where she advised the Assistant Commandant on Marine Corps, Joint, and Combatant Commander capability and programmatic priorities. She also served as Assistant Deputy Commandant, Combat Development & Integration, responsible for developing fully integrated Marine Corps warfighting capabilities across doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership, and personnel.

Gen. Monahan later served as Director of Manpower Management, directing personnel policy and budgeting for the 190,000-person Marine Corps force. Following her retirement from military service, she held industry positions at DRS Technologies, AM General, Amazon, and Booz Allen Hamilton. She also developed U.S. and Latin American multinational tactical mobility programs in partnership with senior Latin American political and military leadership.

As a Strategic Client Advisor for growth[period], Gen. Monahan will support clients in business development and strategic growth, drawing on her expertise in military doctrine, force readiness, security requirements integration, foreign military sales, capacity building, sustainment programs, and international relations. Her extensive military and industry experience will provide valuable perspective as she advises clients pursuing growth opportunities across the defense and international markets.

Gen. Monahan is a member of the International Leadership Texas Board of Directors and the Arizona State University Flag Officer Advisory Council. She also serves as a Team Rubicon Grey Shirt, devoting a great deal of time and effort to disaster response and recovery.
