With his vast senior military leadership in cyber, intelligence, homeland security, and joint operations, Brig. Gen. Cornell joins growth[period] to support clients navigating complex cybersecurity, IT modernization, and national security challenges, leveraging his expertise in mission command, crisis management, and large-scale technology operations.

Brig. Gen. Cornell culminated his 33-year Air Force career as the senior uniformed officer at the Pentagon for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), where he led 4,000 personnel in operating and defending a $14 billion IT and cybersecurity infrastructure supporting 500,000 warfighters across 850 locations worldwide, including bespoke capabilities enabling the President, Secretary of War, and Joint Chiefs of Staff to execute essential functions in all environments. His tenure included modernizing complex IT environments while driving $55 million in budget savings.

Prior to DISA, he commanded an ISR unit enabling global cyber operations for the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command, and led counterterrorism and close air support missions across the CENTCOM theater. He commanded at the squadron, group, and field agency echelons, leading expeditionary forces in the Pacific, Persian Gulf, and Afghanistan, where he earned the Air Force Combat Action Medal.
