January 2014: Mr. Baker retired in 2013 from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). In his ten years with NOAA he served in three executive positions; as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for NOAA Satellites, as their Deputy Assistant Administrator for Satellite and Information Services, and as NOAA's Acting Deputy Under Secretary for Operations. He managed a diverse portfolio that included satellite operations, climate services, satellite meteorology research, information technology, environmental data archiving, human capital, acquisition strategies, budget and finance, infrastructure, strategic planning, performance measurement, space policy, international collaboration, space commerce, emergency response, and continuity of government services.
