June 6th, 2011: The 21st Annual Diplomatic Security Foundation (DSF) Mike Considine Charity Golf Outing took place on Monday, June 6th, 2011 at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia, and growth[period] was proud to sponsor a hole and participate in the tournament.  The DSF provides timely financial support and charitable contributions to members of the Department of State's Bureau of Diplomatic Security, security professionals, and others in the law enforcement and foreign affairs communities.

June 5, 2011: growth[period] was pleased to sponsored a client on this year's National Capital Tour de Cure in Reston, Virginia.  The National Capital Tour de Cure is a part of the larger Tour de Cure, a series of fundraising cycling events held in 43 states nationwide, and the funds raised benefit the American Diabetes Association (ADA), which works to prevent and cure diabetes.

May 11, 2011: growth[period] is pleased to announce that we sponsored the 2011 Max Muscle Virginia Celebrity Golf Invitational, which took place in Dulles, Virginia and which raised funds for the CIA Officers Memorial Foundation.  The Foundation was established in 2001 to honor Johnny Michael Spann, a CIA officer who was killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan, by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to assist the families of CIA officers who died in the line of duty.

April 14, 2011: growth[period] sponsored the Hope For The Warriors’ Second Annual Black Tie "Got Heart, Give Hope" Gala and "Hope & Courage" Award Ceremony at Union Station in Washington, D.C. In keeping with its mission to enhance the quality of life for U.S. service members and their families nationwide who have been adversely affected by injuries or death in the line of duty, Hope For The Warriors held this event to benefit and honor wounded service members, their families, and families of the fallen.

March 2011: growth[period] supported the American Cancer Society (ACS), the largest non-governmental funder of cancer research in the United States. ACS has spent over $4 billion on cancer research since it was founded in 1946, and this research helped to confirm the link between cigarettes and lung cancer, established the link between obesity and multiple cancers, and developed drugs to treat leukemia, among other accomplishments.

February 26, 2011: growth[period] is proud to annouce our support for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's 15th Annual Joker's Wild Casino Night, which took place at Westwood Country Club in Vienna, Virginia. This Casino Night raised funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which works to cure cystic fibrosis and provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality care.

November 12, 2010: AFCEA and the March of Dimes joined together to present the "Heroines in Technology" black-tie awards gala, and growth[period] CEO Courtney Banks was proud to be nominated as a finalist for the award.  The awards honor women in the technology field for their devotion to community service, and recognize women employed in State, Federal, or Local government who exhibit extraordinary volunteerism in their endeavors.

October 18, 2010: growth[period] was proud to participate in the  9th Annual Golf Tournament & Auction for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)at the Washington, D.C. Trump National Golf Club.  The Golf Tournament & Auction was held to raise critical funds for NCMEC, a non-profit organization established in 1984 to build coordinated, national response strategies to address the problem of missing and exploited children, establish a missing children hotline, and serve as a national clearinghouse for information related to these issues.

September 24, 2010: The 3rd Annual Trusant Eagle Classic Golf Tournament took place on Friday, September 24, 2010 at The Links at Challedon Golf Course in Mt. Airy, Maryland, to raise proceeds for the Fisher House organization. NSAWW registered a foursome to support the Tournament.
