Joe Ford Joins growth[period]’s Strategic Client Advisors

growth[period] is pleased to announce that Joe Ford, a distinguished information security professional with 30 years of experience with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), has joined our board of Strategic Client Advisors.

Mr. Ford joined Bank of the West in 2008, retiring in 2016 where he served as an Executive Vice President and its Chief Security Officer managing all aspects of the security program to include cybersecurity, information security, investigations, fraud prevention, physical security and business continuity.  During his tenure with Bank of the West, Mr. Ford created an integrated team of security and anti-fraud professionals focused on reducing cyber and fraud risk.

Mark Sullivan Joins growth[period]’s Strategic Client Advisors

September 2021- growth[period] is pleased to announce that Mark Sullivan, a distinguished private sector security and investigative professional with nearly 35 years of experience as a Federal Agent, has joined our board of Strategic Client Advisors.

Prior to founding Mark Sullivan Consulting, LLC, Mr.  Sullivan was the Director of the United States Secret Service (USSS) beginning as an entry level field agent and ultimately serving in a variety of leadership roles in the organization for nearly 30 years.  Mr. Sullivan led high impact initiatives in criminal investigations and protective operations, strategic planning, threat assessment and risk management, human capital management, training, technology deployment, IT modernization and budget development and execution. As Director, he managed 7,000 Special Agents, Uniformed Division Officers, and Administrative, Professional and Technical staff members and oversaw an annual budget of nearly $1.7 billion. During his tenure at the USSS, he was the responsible for the protection of the President, Vice President, former Presidents and their families, other Government leaders and visiting Heads of State.   Additionally, he was responsible for the security of three Presidential Campaigns,  numerous National Special Security Events, and 10 United Nation General Assemblies. He also oversaw the Secret Service Investigative Mission in the areas of cyber, financial crimes, and fraud.

growth[period] Supports Stirling ALS in WEXMAC and SeaPort-NXG Contract Wins

September 22, 2021- growth[period] is pleased to have worked with our client Stirling Advanced Logistical Services (SALS) in their winning of the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Worldwide Expeditionary Multiple Award Contract (WEXMAC). WEXMAC is a Multiple Award Contract (MAC) with a minimum ceiling amount of $11 million and up to $242 million for contractors receiving awards for all 22 regions.  

The WEXMAC will enable the Navy and other Military Services to contract for global logistics support services such as supplies and services, material handling, lodging, force protection, communications, provisions, clothing, fuel, and medical supplies. The performance period began on 1 July 2021 with a 5-year base period and one 5-year option period.

growth[period] Supports Two Clients in $40M+ in Contract Wins

September 22, 2021- growth[period] is proud to support our client Serco in the successful capture of a $32M contract with US Space Force. Serco will provide Space Operations Command with operations, maintenance, and implementation support of the Space Fence System.

This project will improve the Space Surveillance Network (SSN) capability to detect, track and characterize man-made objects in space to support the production of actionable information that can be used at all levels of warfare and range of military operations for planning and execution within the space domain. Other requirements include exercises and testing, logistics management, communications, environmental services, civil engineering, occupational health, knowledge operations requirements, and support of system upgrades and modifications.

Serco’s purchase of WBB added nearly 1,000 employees and $230 in annual revenue. As a result of the acquisition, Herndon, VA-based Serco now has 9,000 employees in North America and an annual revenue of $1.7 billion.  Parent company Serco Group plc has $5 billion in annual revenue and more than 50,000 global employees.

CEO Courtney Spaeth Awarded the 2019 Joseph Wharton Award

On October 16, 2109, growth[period] CEO Courtney Spaeth was joined by her family, friends, and colleagues to celebrate her as a recipient of the 2019 Joseph Wharton Award, the Washington DC Wharton Club’s highest honor. Every year the Joseph Wharton Award is awarded to an exemplary individual that has demonstrated a commitment to public and community service, outstanding career achievements, and support of the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania, and alumni clubs. Since the Wharton Club initiated this tradition, they have honored top officials in business, government, non-profits, academia, and the legal and accounting professionals who have attended Wharton or other schools at UPenn. Courtney was unanimously voted by the Board to receive this award based on her many accomplishments and contributions to the community. In 51 years she is one of only 6 non-Wharton grads at UPenn to receive this honor.
